God

God

God

I believe there is one God who is infinite, eternal, all powerful, perfect in holiness, truth, and love. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. God has eternally existed as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in nature and glory, yet there is only one God.

Scripture: Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14

the Bible

I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is completely true, trustworthy, and without error in its original manuscripts. The Scriptures are the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal God's character, His plan of redemption, and His will for His people.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119:105, Psalm 119:160

Jesus
Christ

I believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sin, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father, serves as the Head of the Church, and continually intercedes for believers. One day He will return to establish His kingdom and reign forever.

Scripture: Matthew 1:22-23, John 1:1-5, Hebrews 4:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9-11

Sin

I believe sin is any thought, attitude, word, or action that falls short of God's perfect holiness and righteous standard. Because of Adam's sin, every person is born with a sinful nature and has personally sinned against God. Sin separates people from God, brings spiritual death, and leaves them unable to save themselves. Forgiveness and reconciliation with God are found only through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Genesis 3:1-19, Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23, James 1:14-15, 1 John 1:8-9

Salvation

I believe salvation is the free gift of God, received by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. People cannot earn salvation through good works or religious effort. They must be born again through faith in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Those who place their faith in Christ are forgiven, declared righteous before God, adopted into His family, and eternally secure in Him.

Scripture: Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:3, John 14:6, Romans 5:1, Titus 3:5

the
Holy Spirit

I believe every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit gives new life, indwells believers, convicts them of sin, guides them into truth, empowers them to live faithfully, and equips them with spiritual gifts for serving the body of Christ.

Scripture: John 14:16-17, John 16:7-13, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

Humanity

I believe all people are created in the image of God and possess inherent dignity and value. Although people were created to reflect God's character, every person has sinned and fallen short of God's standard. Sin separates people from God and leaves them in need of His saving grace through Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:2

Satan

I believe Satan is a real personal being who opposes God and seeks to deceive humanity. Though he remains active in the world, his power was decisively defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His final judgment and eternal defeat are certain.

Scripture: Genesis 3:1-15, John 12:31, Colossians 2:15, Revelation 20:10

the
Chruch

I believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, teach God's Word, encourage believers, and serve the world. Every believer should actively participate in a biblically faithful local church.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20, Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 10:24-25

the
Return

I believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. He will first gather His Church to Himself, and afterward He will establish His kingdom on earth. His return is the blessed hope of every believer.

Scripture: John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:1-6

Eternity

I believe believers enter the presence of Christ immediately after death and await the resurrection of their glorified bodies. They will dwell with Him forever in the new heaven and new earth. Those who reject Jesus Christ will remain under God's righteous judgment and experience eternal separation from Him.

Scripture: Philippians 1:23, 2 Corinthians 5:8, Revelation 21:1-4, Matthew 25:46

Christian Life

I believe every believer is called to walk by the Holy Spirit, grow in holiness, obey God's Word, love others, and faithfully proclaim the gospel through both their words and their lives. Every believer will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive rewards for faithful service, not to determine their salvation.
